AIGA Design for Democracy Contest

Problem
The AIGA Design for Democracy competition challenges designers to create visuals that encourage early voter registration. The goal was to make civic engagement more accessible and appealing to a wide audience.

Solution
In 2018, I submitted a design called "Vote-A-Saurus," which used a playful dinosaur illustration, neutral political tones, and bold, engaging copy to cut through the noise and spark interest across party lines. The design was selected by a panel of prominent jurors, including Milton Glaser, Luba Lukova, and leaders from NASDAQ and the Times Square Alliance. It was displayed on the NASDAQ cylindrical tower in New York City and became the only voter registration postcard distributed in Times Square.
